DSRT Basic Kit – Demolition System Remote and Timed

Part No. 282-0001 | NSN 1385-01-658-1300

The Demolition System Remote and Timed (DSRT) Basic Kit is a military-grade remote firing and time-delay system engineered for demanding tactical and demolition operations. Developed from the ground up with direct input from EOD and NECC operators, the DSRT has been refined through years of field evaluations to support dismounted missions in high-noise and contested environments.

This field-configurable system allows operators to remotely initiate or time delayed events with encrypted, two-way communication, integrated safety interlocks, and real-time receiver status feedback. Designed for reliability and flexibility, the DSRT supports both electric and NONEL detonators and performs consistently across extreme environmental conditions.

Key Features & Capabilities

  • Long-range operation up to 5 miles line-of-sight in high-noise RF environments

  • Urban operational range up to 0.5 mile

  • Configurable time delay from 30 seconds to 12 hours with abort/fire override

  • AES-encrypted two-way communications with receiver status display

  • Field-linkable system architecture for rapid configuration changes

  • Transmitter control of up to 8 receivers

  • NVG-compatible operation mode

  • Integrated safety interlocks for enhanced operational security

  • Powered by standard CR-123A batteries

System Performance

  • 10-joule discharge capable of firing up to 40 M-6 series detonators

  • MD-82 firing tip supports NONEL and electric detonators

  • Operating temperature range:

    • Electric output: -30°C to +65°C

    • NONEL: -10°C to +65°C

Environmental & EMC Qualification

The DSRT has undergone extensive qualification testing, including:

  • MIL-STD-810G environmental testing (temperature, shock, vibration, immersion, salt fog, altitude)

  • HERO compliance (Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance)

  • Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) qualification at NSWC Dahlgren

  • High immunity to ESD, EMP, and RF interference
