ZARUBA A3 Portable Passive RF Drone Detector

The ZARUBA A3 is a portable, passive RF monitoring device designed to detect analog FPV drone video transmissions across three frequency bands. The system simultaneously scans the 1.3 GHz, 3.3 GHz, and 5.8 GHz bands, providing personnel with early awareness of compatible FPV drone activity in the surrounding area.

Unlike active counter-UAS systems, the A3 is a receive-only device. It does not transmit RF energy or jam communications. When a compatible signal is detected, the system provides audible and visual notification. When signal conditions permit, the received FPV video can also be displayed on the integrated 3.5-inch screen, giving the operator additional information for assessing detected activity.

Compact and weighing approximately 1.4 lbs., the A3 is well suited for EOD teams, bomb squads, law enforcement, public safety, critical infrastructure security, industrial facilities, and other personnel requiring portable drone situational awareness.

Important Detection Considerations

The ZARUBA A3 detects supported RF video transmissions rather than physically detecting every drone in the surrounding airspace. Detection capability therefore depends on the drone and video system transmitting within frequency ranges and signal types supported by the A3. Detection range will also vary based on transmitter power, antennas, terrain, obstructions, RF conditions, and other environmental factors.

The A3 is a passive monitoring device and does not provide RF jamming or other active counter-UAS functionality.
