The Ops-Core FAST XR High Cut Helmet System is a lightweight ballistic helmet engineered to provide enhanced protection against both handgun and select rifle threats while maintaining the comfort, integration, and modularity of the FAST platform. The FAST XR is designed to resist 7.62x39mm lead-core projectiles and provides protection against Level IIIA / HG2 handgun threats and fragmentation.
The high-cut ballistic shell uses a hybrid composite construction incorporating carbon, unidirectional polyethylene, and woven Aramid. Its geometry extends coverage over the rear occipital area while minimizing interference with load-carrying equipment and optimizing weight distribution for stability and comfort. The PowerPath ARC Rail system provides a lightweight platform for integrating compatible headborne accessories.
For comfort and fit, the FAST XR incorporates a Vented Lux Liner with Occ-Dial fit system. The molded liner includes a recessed channel designed to accommodate over-the-head communication headsets without creating unnecessary interference or discomfort. The helmet integrates with Ops-Core headborne systems for communications, optics, and other mission-specific equipment.
