The NOVO Folding Slider Series provides automated digital X-ray detector positioning for screening large and oversized objects that cannot be captured in a single exposure. Available in Folding Slider L and larger Folding Slider XXL configurations, the systems automatically move the detector through multiple positions and generate a high-quality mosaic image using NOVO Touch Software.
Designed for EOD, bomb squad, security, inspection, and other portable digital radiography applications, the Folding Sliders combine a built-in controller and battery with wired or wireless NOVO Mesh operation. Multiple rail configurations provide flexibility for different object sizes and imaging requirements.
The NOVO Folding Slider L is designed for screening large objects and supports single-, dual-, or triple-rail configurations. Depending on the detector and its orientation, the system can create an overall imaging area of up to 100 in. × 27 in. (255 × 69 cm) or 95 in. × 33 in. (243 × 85 cm) in triple-rail mode.

The NOVO Folding Slider XXL expands automated X-ray screening capability for significantly larger objects. The XXL supports single- or dual-rail operation and can provide a maximum overall imaging area of up to 100 × 54 in. (255 × 139 cm), depending on detector selection and orientation.

The Folding Slider L can be configured for elevated imaging with a maximum height of 65 in. (165 cm), allowing the detector to be positioned higher for objects that cannot be adequately screened from a standard ground-level configuration.
Optional accessories allow both the Folding Slider L and Folding Slider XXL to be configured for horizontal operation, providing additional flexibility for objects and inspection scenarios requiring a different detector orientation.
NOVO notes that the elevated-mode specification was tested using a NOVO 22WS detector in portrait orientation.
Instead of manually repositioning a digital detector for a series of exposures, the Folding Slider automatically moves the detector through the required positions. NOVO Touch Software controls the system and automatically generates the resulting mosaic image, providing a large composite X-ray view of the screened object.
The configurable rail system allows the operator to adapt the scanning area to the size and shape of the object, from large-object screening with the Folding Slider L to super-sized imaging applications using the Folding Slider XXL.
The Folding Slider Series supports both wired and wireless Mesh operation using NOVO Mesh Technology. An optional Wireless X-Ray Module provides wireless communication between the Folding Slider and the X-ray source. Optional operation with an MPU5 Wireless Module is also supported.
